Experience points are earned by performing certain activities (including walking or riding around or being offline ...). These experience points are not directly used to increase a skill or such though, that is done via converting the former into cultivation points. The number of experience points a player has can be checked by clicking the top icon to enter the cultivation menu. At the bottom of the menu is a button called Experience Conversion which displays the experience and cultivation pools:

Experience 1

The 5 small bubbles in the picture correspond to 5 grades of experience points that can be earned by performing activities (including walking or riding around or being offline ...):

  1. Grade 1: (conversion rate: 10 cultivation points / 100 seconds)
    • Obtained from: spying, patrolling, script stealing events, etc.
  2. Grade 2: (conversion rate: 20 cultivation points / 100 seconds)
    • Obtained from: spying, patrolling, script stealing events, etc.
  3. Grade 3: (conversion rate: 50 cultivation points / 100 seconds)
    • Obtained from: story quests, school quests, spying, patrolling, script stealing events, etc.
  4. Grade 4: (conversion rate: 100 cultivation points / 100 seconds)
    • Obtained from: influences, story quests, school quests, spying, patrolling, script stealing events, etc.
  5. Grade 5: (conversion rate: 200 cultivation points / 100 seconds)
    • Obtained from: forbidden instances, influences, story quests, school quest, spying, patrolling, script stealing events, escort missions, etc.

Altogether, the maximum total conversion rate of the experience points from all 5 grades is 380 cultivation points/100 seconds. Note that non-VIPs only get 70% of this rate (for a maximum total rate of 266 cultivation points/100 seconds). The big pool in the middle is not a separate experience point storage, but the cumulative indicator of all 5 bubbles. It displays the total amount of experience points the player currently have (i.e. the amount in all 5 bubbles added together), and mousing over it will show the current total conversion rate (i.e. all 5 bubbles' rates added together).

Things to Know[]

  • The maximum number of experience points attainable is 999. In other words, all the experience points from all 5 bubbles added together cannot exceed 999.
    • In other words, if a player's Grade 1 bubble has 999 experience points inside, then all of their other bubbles must be empty, and their total conversion rate is only 10 cultivation points/100 seconds. It doesn't matter that the pool is full; it only matters that all of the points are in the same bubble.
      • One of the benefits of being a VIP is that experience points are evenly distributed to all 5 bubbles. Therefore, there will not be enormous disparancy between the amounts of experience points in the bubbles. This guarantees the maximum conversion rate at all times.
  • When the experience pool is maxed out at 999/999, experience gain is halted. The player may still participate in activities that would normally give experience (i.e. quests), but they would not get the experience points the activities normally give. There are no other negative effects to having a full experience pool.
  • For an example of experience to cultivation conversion, imagine 1 experience point would be converted into 1000 cultivation points.
    • For VIPs, all 1000 points go directly into their pool of cultivation points.
    • For non-VIPs, only 700 points go into the pool of cultivation points; the remaining 300 points are diverted to the pool of potential points.
  • Potential points can only be converted to cultivation points by spending gold.

Tips[]

The best way to get experience points is to go do spy missions. Successfully completing the spy mission with 10 intelligence reports grants 160 experience points. Players are allowed to participate in the mission 5 times everyday; doing it all 5 times gives 800 experience points.
