Forbidden Instance | │ | Assassins |
In Forbidden Instances, certain bosses will send invitations to random online players to join their side as assassins to aid in defeating the party.
Mechanics[]

When an assassin-summoning boss is first attacked, it immediately turns invulnerable for a few seconds while it dispatches invitations to random online players whose Character Strength matches the average level of the instance party. Players already in a team or otherwise occupied will not receive these invites.
Those who accept are instantly teleported into the instance and transformed into anonymous assassins—their names hidden and their appearance swapped to a black assassin outfit. If fewer players accept than needed, NPC assassins fill any remaining slots.
Once inside, the assassins must defend the boss for ten minutes. Player assassins who are defeated can rejoin the fight by using the Recovery Options of Recover Nearby or On-Site Healing (via the Nine Turnings Hell Contacting Pill), but NPC assassins do not respawn once they fall.
If the assassins hold out for the full ten minutes, they are teleported out and rewarded, and the original instance party must restart the boss encounter from the beginning.
Rewards[]

Victorious assassins have a slim chance of obtaining a bound Disguise (Page 1) or Disguise (Page 2), which unlocks the Miscellaneous Skill "Trick the Enemy". The skill clears all stun, paralysis, and knockback effects, allowing the user to break free from stunlock combos.
Leaderboards[]
Assassins earn points based on how long they defend the boss and the number of kills they achieve. Each week, the top three assassins with the highest point totals are awarded a temporary title and Identity Outfit.
