Jianghu Heroes is a single-player PvE event in which the player is challenged to a fight against one or two School NPCs. This event can be triggered by filling the orange gauge that appears when the player defeats NPCs in the overworld.

Triggering the Event[]
Anyone can trigger the event by defeating random NPCs and filling the orange gauge. To fill the gauge, the player must defeat a minimum of 20 NPCs. The gauge will lose points for each minute that passes without the player defeating an enemy. Once the gauge is full, a random School NPC or Liu Zhenyu will appear and challenge the player, using martial arts from their respective school.
VIP Subscribers can trigger the battle up to five times per day in the same location, while non-VIP players are limited to three battles per location per day. Once the limit is reached, players must move to a different area to continue triggering the event.
School NPCs[]
The challengers are not completely random:
- The School NPCs only come from the eight original Great Schools — players will not be challenged by NPCs from Ming Cult, Tianshan Sect, or Kunlun Sect.
- Each location can only spawn two different types of School NPCs. Each scene has multiple locations. For a list of all locations, see: Hero Locations.
After defeating the challengers, the player can loot the bodies for rewards. All items are bound.

Double Heroes[]
When triggering the battle, the player has a slim chance of encountering Double Heroes. In addition of dropping the standard School NPC loot, defeating the two School NPCs has a chance to spawn one or two chests, which contain random Small Training Scrolls. However, there is also a chance that no chests will spawn at all.
The scrolls match the school of the challengers, so players looking for specific scrolls might want to start battles at specific Hero Locations.

Liu Zhenyu[]
Liu Zhenyu is a special NPC that replaces all School NPC encounters during 15:30‑16:30 and 21:30‑22:30. The NPC uses the Heartless Seven Skills and has a chance to drop the Demon Banishing Order.
