The Juedi Horse mount.
Mounts in Age of Wushu are a convenient feature that allows players to travel faster across the expansive game world. While they are not essential for gameplay, mounts provide a practical and stylish option for covering long distances efficiently. The majority of mounts are horses, and to summon one, players must use a whistle item.
One of the tasks in Hero Island (Hero's Journey I) requires the player to own a mount.
Limitations[]
- Flying Skills: Players cannot use Flying Skills while riding a mount. This restriction means mounts are primarily suited for long, ground-based travel rather than navigating vertical terrain or obstacles.
- Restricted Areas: Most school areas restrict the use of mounts, requiring players to dismount when entering the area. However, the Royal Guards and Beggar's Sect allow mounts throughout their entire territory.
- Combat: Mounts offer no combat advantages aside from increased movement speed for quicker escapes, as players are unable to attack while mounted. Mounts cannot be summoned during combat, except for Changfeng Escort Agency members, who have access to the Miscellaneous Skill "Horse-urging Gallop".
- Windrider: The Windrider is the most popular movement speed boost in Age of Wushu, but the Windrider state prevents the user from summoning a horse. However, mounts are a better option for long auto-pathing distances because entering combat mode won't automatically dismount the player, unlike the Windrider state, which is removed as soon as they are targeted by a hostile NPC or player.
Boosts[]
Double Saddle[]

Double Saddle is an item that can be used multiple times. When used with a compatible mount, it increases the mount speed by 1, extends the duration of its "Sprint" skill by 5 seconds, and allows the player to carry a second rider.
Seven-Kill Sutra[]

Seven-Kill Sutra is the tier 3 Internal Skill of the Royal Guards. When the Internal Skill is active and cultivated to at least level 6, the duration of a mount's "Sprint" skill is extended by 5 seconds.
Doctor General Store[]
Players who own a Camel, White Camel, or any of the temporary horses from the Cash Shop or Horse Gift Pack gain access to the Doctor General Store from anywhere at any time via a dedicated button in their backpack. The mount must be bound, meaning players must activate the expiration timer on a temporary mount before they can use it to unlock access to the store.
Note that some horses can be obtained through alternative methods. For example, the Juedi Horse is available from the Guild Stable. However, these horses will not grant access to the Doctor General Store unless they are specifically acquired from the Cash Shop or a Horse Gift Pack.
The sold items include all Life Skill tools, Carrier Pigeons, and the Nine Turnings Hell Contacting Pill. For the full list of sold items, see: Doctor General Store.
Strategy[]
Access to the Doctor General Store is not only convenient but also offers strategic advantages in challenging situations. For example:
- The feature is especially useful for Weiqi Players, who might find themselves in trouble if their Weiqi Board breaks during an event like Heart of the Devil—since exiting the event would result in mission failure.
- Players who become Seriously Wounded in a Forbidden Instance can open the store interface to purchase a Nine Turnings Hell Contacting Pill before their Energy runs out. However, the store cannot be accessed once the player is dead—so timing is crucial.
Mounts[]
There are two types of mounts:
- Temporary Mounts (T): The temporary mounts have a limited duration, typically expiring after 7 or 30 days.
- Permanent Mounts (P): The permanent mounts never expire and are available mostly as limited-time offers from the Cash Shop.
The Double Saddle (DS) cannot be used with some mounts.

The Mount Lore is a rare and expensive Lore item that changes the appearance of a mount. All Mount Lores are horse-themed and can only be used with horse-type mounts. They are incompatible with other mount types, such as the Camel or Snow Deer.
