Tangmen character

Tangmen is one of the Eight Great Schools in Age of Wushu. The Tangmen are run by the Tang family, who are famous for their poisons and hidden weapons. They prefer darts and daggers. Thus they pair well with the Life Skills of Blacksmith, Poison Maker and Herbalist. They tend to be an aggro target with bosses making them less ideal as Weiqi player.

History[]

The Tangmen is a family sect that has been part of the Jianghu for several hundred years, but is still shrouded in mystery. They prefer to stay in the family castle located in Chongqing, Sichuan. The castle is heavily fortified; surrounded by traps and is very difficult to infiltrate.

Even though the Tangmen are famous, very few people truly know them. When they do appear, it’s hard to track them, so people often think they are an evil sect. The rumor is that the Tangmen have seven different types of hidden weapons including poisonous needles and blinding sands. The most famous hidden weapon is the “Storm Pear Flower Needle”. A highly skilled martial artist can hit enemies at 64 different points simultaneously, making the technique impossible to defend against...

Playstyle[]

A big advantage is that they can kidnap player without penalty (source) and are good at distance fights helping in PvP. The disadvantage is that their animations are slow and thus easier to counter.

In PvE, Tangmen are extremely useful for their Stalk in Stealth smoke grenade, which buffs ally dodge rate and external damage by a massive amount. Tangmen are also the kings of ranged damage and output more consistent DPS than any other school.

The Golden Snake Sting is one of the most flexible sets in the game, with an unconditional ranged stun and a feint that leads into powerful combos. Because their Vertigo Dart spam attacks are so annoying, many people feel the need to close the gap with them only to deal with an equally deadly close-range game
