Weiqi Player is a Cultural Life Skill. Weiqi is an ancient Chinese strategy board game where two players compete to control territory by placing black and white stones on a 19×19 grid. In Age of Wushu, Weiqi Players can provide significant stat boosts for their team when serving as the Array leader.
To use the Life Skill, the player must have a Weiqi Board in their backpack.
Learning the Life Skill[]
Players can learn the Weiqi Player Life Skill by paying a small fee in 
Silver Coins to a Weiqi Player NPC, who can be found in the starting towns (Qiandeng Town, Yanyu Villa, Jiming Posthouse, Chengdu), major cities (Suzhou, Luoyang, Jinling, Yanjing), Evil Men's Valley, and the Great School of Scholars. However, players who have already mastered another cultural Life Skill must abandon it before they can learn the Weiqi Player.
Upon learning the Life Skill, the player will gain access to the Weiqi Player NPC Puzzles, Tactics interface, PvP challenge, and identity titles. After claiming the first identity title from the identity menu (hotkey U), the player gains access to the Weiqi Player daily tasks.
Experience Points[]
Weiqi Players earn experience points by solving puzzles, completing daily tasks, and competing with other players. When a Ruyi Pill is active, all experience gains are multiplied. The Life Skill can be leveled up to Rank 10, and leveling up the skill will unlock and improve the stat boosts of Tactics.
NPC Weiqi Puzzles[]

Players can interact with various NPCs, each offering a Weiqi puzzle challenge. Successfully solving the puzzle awards Life Skill experience points. The NPCs can be found in various scenes, marked on the map by an icon. The experience gain ranges from 83 to 335, depending on the NPC. For a list of all Weiqi NPCs, see: List of Weiqi NPCs.
If the player has read the corresponding Weiqi Manual, they can preview the solution to the puzzle in-game. All puzzle solutions are also available at https://9yin.ersan.io/weiqi/. Players who have purchased the Young Hero Master subscription can automatically complete puzzles by enabling the "Refine" option in the Life Skill interface.
Competing with Players[]
Weiqi Players have the option to challenge other players to a full game of Weiqi. These matches yield only minimal experience points, so their primary value lies in the entertainment and competitive engagement they provide. The challenged player does not need to have acquired the Life Skill.
Daily Tasks[]
The Weiqi Player daily task can be started by talking to the Apprentice NPC standing next to Weiqi Player NPC. The task can be done once per day, with each task requiring the player to solve Weiqi Puzzles. Reaching a new Life Skill Rank will reset the daily quest cycle, allowing the player to complete an additional daily task.
The task reward is a bound scroll that grants Weiqi Player experience points when read.

Tactics[]
Tactics refer to the Array stat boosts provided by Weiqi Players through the Weiqi Player interface. Their effectiveness improves with the Life Skill Rank, and certain Tactics require the player to meet a minimum Rank before they can be activated. The boosts only apply when the Weiqi Player is leading the Array.
If a Tactic is activated without meeting the Rank requirement, tool durability will be consumed and the user will enter a Confusion state, with no benefits gained.

Weiqi Manuals[]
To unlock a Tactic, the player must study one of three required Weiqi Manuals. Reading the entire set of three manuals will improve the effect. There are multiple ways to acquire manuals:
- The Weiqi Player NPCs in various scenes sell several Weiqi Manuals.
- The Weiqi Player NPC at the Great School of Scholars sells a unique selection of Weiqi Manuals.
- Stack of Books can be looted for some Weiqi Manuals.
- Chests in Forbidden Instances and Influence Challenges can be looted for some Weiqi Manuals.
- Random Encounters may reward the player with Weiqi Manuals.

Identity Outfit[]
The top ten Epic Weiqi Players (Rank 10) with the highest weekly Ranking Points will receive an Identity Outfit by mail. The Identity Outfit can be worn for 14 days.
